I decided to create this web site after many fruitless hours spent searching the web looking for some answers or advice…yet I never found anything for Mothers or fathers of sexually abused children. There are no right answers, I realize that now but I could never find anyone to help me in my struggle to help my daughter. I do not have the answers, only my experience and if we can share our experiences or help one another then I have acheived my aim, to create our own community support.
There are many websites for survivors of sexual abuse, which are most useful for adult survivors of sexual child abuse. It was on one of those websites, that I was able to get my daughter to open up and begin to heal. They help let survivors know that they are not alone, this was a turning point for my daughter.
I hope we can all help this site to evolve by getting involved. This can be acheived by letting me know of good books, maybe writing a review, any good resources and giving your input. Write your experiences for 'Your Story' section, so that others may learn something from them.
